Elvira,
Thanks for the lead. I have some of Vito Alessio Robles' books but not all of them. I have been trying to purchase them but they are very expensive. Reed's stuff I don't have any of them. Alessio Robles' 2nd book in his 2 vol set on Coahuila speaks of the period after Mexico has independence from Spain. Any reference to Anselmo Robles has to be in there. I know that during the Mexican American War that Anselmo moved the family from Los Patos to Saltillo. I always thought it strange that he did during the war.
The Robles around Torreon seem to be related to the Robles around Teptenco(something like that) in Zacatecas. There are posts on this board related to a book on the Robles in TORREON AND Zacatecas. The book on those Robles starts after my Robles had already migrated to Los Patos so they don't seem to be closely related if at all.
Esther
