i have been researching benitez in zacatecas, zacatecas. my maternal grandmother was maria petra benitez, birth date unknown, daughter of bernardino benitez aka martel and maria nestora ricondo. bernardino and nestora were married 1878 in zacatecas, zacatecas. per marriage info he was born about 1830 and she was born about 1864. bernardino was from the rancho del orito in zacatecas. he was a widower of maria carmen ramirez, who died in 1878 in villanueva. the parents of bernardino benitez were justa delgado and atanacio benites aka martel. i have no other info. because the zacatecas, zacatecas records were destroyed for about a 40 year period. any info would be appreciated. thanks
