I too have been looking for information re: Simon de Ortega and wife Maria de Mares from Zacatecas, Mexico. You stated that you have info on them once they left Mexico. May I ask what that information consists of? I have info re: all their children and so forth. How about yourself? Would you be interested in comparing notes? Please let me know if you are at all interested in exchanging information. Also, how are you related to them? They are my, (I'm not quite sure how many) "Great" Grandparents on my Father's side of the family.
I look forward to hearing from you and anyone else who has any info.
