Greetings ~

I am going to give this a try, although I am not too sure on how to go
about researching Spanish roots, nor do I even speak the language . . .
I am doing this indirectly for my children, this is my father in-laws family/
. . . The info I have to share was collected nearly 20 years ago, from
various cousin's of my X wife . . . At the moment all I have on hand is
the direct lines of these surnames I have listed . . .

My father in-law was "Mundo" Edmundo Caldera Solano b. 11 Dec. 1936 Belvedere
Twp., L.A. Co., CA d. 19 June 1992 Los Angeles, L.A. Co., CA m. 23 Sept.
1960 to Arlene Weslie Nelson (1941-2000) . . .

Mundo's father was "John" Jose Juan Gonzales Solano b. 21 Aug. 1903 Cueramaro,
Guanjuato, Mexico d. 5 Oct. 1986 Montebello, L.A. Co., CA he had a Common
Law marriage since 1932 to Julia Ceballos Caldera b. 12 Aug. 1905 Sierra
Moja, Coahula, Mexico d. 12 Oct. 1957 Montebello, L.A. Co., CA . . .

John's father was Agapito Solano, he was born and died in Mexico, his parents
are unknown. His wife was Cleofas Gonzales she was bapt. 25 Sept. 1866
at Huanimaro, Guanajuato, Mexico and she died in Mexico. Her parents were
Crispin Gonzales and Guadalupe Morales, I have no data on either of them.

Next is my father in-law's mother's parents . . . Julia's father was Susano
Caldera b. about 1858 in Mexico d. 26 Aug. 1922 Los Angeles, L.A. Co.,
CA his wife was Augustina Ceballos b. 28 Aug. 1863 Piedras Negras Parral,
Coahuila, Mexico d. 30 Dec. 1968 Los Angeles, L.A. Co., CA [Augustina's
death certificate states the year of her birth as 1886 {possible typo}as
she is said to have been well pass 105 in age] . . . Susano's parents were
Juan Caldera b. Mexico and "Susana" Feliciana Juares b. 19 June1834 in
Zacatecas, Mexico d. 12 Feb. 1935 Rose Hill, L.A. Co., CA . . . [Feliciana's
death certificate states both of her parents birth place as Zacatecas,
Mex. . . . but doesn't mention either of their names . . .

I would be very greatful for leads or direction, that I should go with
this info so far . . .
