Hi Esther: Yes, I think that is a possibility and it would be interesting
to try and pursue it. Also Fresnillo is attached to the lesser Diocese
of Zacatecas and maybe records are there. Familia is planning a trip to
Zacatecas in the summer and I'm giving thought to going and maybe trying
to learn more from others.

Some of the northwestern towns of Sain Alto, Rio Grande, and Sombrerete
are attached to Durango and Las Cruces does have records from those towns
(from 1790 to the 1860s) and that Mormon Library does not have. Too bad
they aren't available through interlibrary loan.
