Hi,

Isn't it possible that the church made duplicates of these
records and maybe sent them to the Diocesis of Guadalajara
or somewhere in Mexico City? I know lost records from
early New Mexico parishes have been found in diocese of
Durango archives.

Also, what do you know of civil records from Fresnillo
like testamentes and protocolos? Would they be at the Reistro de Civil
or somewhere else?
