Oops, I made a boo-boo. I said the records for Fresnillo go back to the
1600s....That is incorrect. They go back to the early 1860s. I guess that
was wishful thinking.

Purificacion parish in Fresnillo was founded way back in January 1570,
but to my knowledge we only have access to records back to the early 1860s.
Pretty tragic, huh? The records for many parishes of Zacatecas go back
to the 1600s and 1700s (with gaps), but Fresnillo, unfortunately, is not
among them (unless the records are stored somewhere I don't know about).

But 1862 is better than nothing. Good luck.
