Surname: SERRANO, MIRAMONTES
-------------------------

I'm hoping to get information that will help me in the quest for answers
to the missing heritage on my paternal grandparents side. My paternal grandmothers
name was Paula Mary Serrano Miramontes. She was born on 1-15-1889 in Faltenago,
Zacatecas, Mexico to Hillary and Moberta Pinto-Serrano. She married Benjamin
Miramontes on 2-11-1902 in Momax, Mexico. He was born in Momax on 3-25-1885
according to his "Petition for Citizenship papers; however, on his death
certificate his DOB says 3-26-1883. Their last known residence was Carmen,
Coahuila, Mexico. They left Mexico on 1-31-1916 and entered Texas at Laredo.
They migrated north, entering Canada once, and then back into the US where
they settled in Minnesota and raised their nine children who were named
Guadelupe, Consuelo, Soledad, Juvencia, Jesus, Sarah, Benjamin, Carlos,
and James. In their later years they moved to San Francisco, CA to live
with their daughter Sarah until their deaths in '62 and '63. They and she
are buried there.

If my grandparents revealed their true ethnicity and information about
their parents, siblings, etc. to their children, we, their grandchildren,
were not given answers to our questions. If they had the answers they took
them to their graves, which leaves us to try find the missing pieces for
OUR grandchildren.

If you have any information please e-mail me, as any information is better
than none. Thank uou.

Sincerely,

De Miramontes-Johnson
