Surname: Serrano, Miramontes
-------------------------

I'm looking for any information that can lead me in the direction of my
long lost relatives. My paternal grandmother's name was Paula Mary Serrano,
she was born on 1-15-1889 in Faltenago, Zacatecas, Mexico to Hillary and
Moberta Pinto-Serrano. She married Benjamin Miramontes on 2-11-1902 at
Momax, Mexico. He was born on 1-15-1889, also at Faltenago, Zacatecas,
Mexico. Their last known residence in Mexico was at Carmen, Couhila, Mexico.
They left Mexico on 1-31-1916 and entered Texas at Laredo. They had seven
children by time they left Texas and migrated north, ending up in Minnesota,
where they raised their children and lived until their senior years.

Some of the names may be spelled wrong, as my grandparents didn't write
in English very well. My grandmother spoke very little English her whole
life. I have no idea who their parents were, or any of their families,
or where any of them might be. I feel like a very large part of me is missing.
My grown children feel the same way, and now I have granddaughters as well.
We aren't even sure of our ethnic origin for sure, as some papers I have
say "Mexican," some say "Spanish American," and some "white." Some of my
aunts insisted we were also Indian, but when we grew up and wanted to see
documentation of it we were ignored. Unfortunately now nearly everyone
has taken those "secrets" to their graves.

Please------anyone out there---can you help me find our relatives? ANY
information would be more than I have now!

Thank you.

Sincerely,

De Miramontes-Johnson
