My grandmother was Lucila Villavicencio, and as near as I can figure, she
was born in about 1903. She had a brother Vicente and a sister Christina.
They were from the Canary Islands and I don't know how long they had been
in Mexico, but eventually they migrated to Juchipila, Zacatecas where she
married my grandfather Nemesio Jacobo. My mother and her six brothers and
sisters grew up there.
