Perhaps we can help eachother.
I am (still) looking for information about my husband's Grandmother, Anita
Ortiz, born 1/12/1910 in Zacatecas, Mexico and died 1/29/1947, killed by
a train in Palo Alto, California. Her niece, Consuelo Aguilar Cortez, remembers
that Anita crossed the border at a young age. She married Guillermo Aguilar
about 5/8/1926 in Chowchilla, California. Anita's parents were Ysabel Ortiz
and Maria Montolla/ Montaya/Montoya both born about 1892.
I hope this helps you, and I would be grateful for any information you
can provide to me.
