Surname: Reynoso, Sandoval, Pulido, Loera
-------------------------

Ester,

My grandfather died in San Jose, California, 9 Oct 1967. He left his home
at the early age of 12 or 13. He lived in Juarez, Mexico and traveled to
El Paso, Texas each day where he had a job washing dishes. He would return
to Moyahua now and then and when he was nineteen years of age he married
a lady by the name of Ambrosia Sandoval. They had a daughter Policarpa
born in Moyahua. The mother and daughter died, I am not sure when or where.
I have never been able to find death records. Grandpa still is crossing
the border. It could be that they died in Texas or possibly Arizona. Grandpa
married (2) Maria del Refugio Pulido, 23 Oct 1912, Nelson, Arizona. She
was born in Aguascalientes, Aguascalientes, Mexico, 20 Oct 1896, the daughter
of Francisco Pulido and Maria de Jesus de Loera. Maria del Refugio died
10 May 1923, Los Angeles, Ca. Grandpa married a third time some years later
in California.

I forgot to mention that the Estrada line is an indirect line. One of the
Reynoso women married in to the Estrada family. They are cousins. A branch
of the Estrada family lives in Brawley, Ca., and Indio, Ca, oh and the
San Diego area.

I hope this did not confuse you more. I do think we are related and it
will be fun and interesting to learn how.

Sincerely,
Irene

Mother used to tell me that her father told her that the confusion on the
Reynoso and Renteria name came from the death of one of the men (Reynoso
or Renteria) and that that one of the male children was raised by a Reynoso
or a Renteria, that child took on that surname. I found that interesting,
but due to the fact that both names are being used on documents for the
same individuals clear back as far as I have found records, I don't feel
that is the case. My feelings are that One of those names is the name of
possibly a grandmother who knows how far back and the name was given in
honor of her. I have found different documents back to Selverio Reynoso
born abt 1771 that state his name as Renteria. The same goes for the rest
of the family as you move in closer to our time. Even my grandfather is
listed both ways. It is very interesting.
