I saw your post in genaology.com and responded and now I am responding here in hopes that you get this as well.
Guadalupe Vasques Romero and he was married to Teresa Montejano Cortez. They came to Texas when they were young, about 19/18. They settled in San Antonio and had seven living children (Jose C., Raul C., Rudy C., Arnold C., Ishmael G., Adela & Maria Del Socorro). Rudy and Adela (my grandmother) passed away. Grandpa/Grandma Romero died in 1982/1983.
Jose Cortez Romero was only a baby when they came to the states and from what my tios and tias tell me he was the only Romero born in Mexico.
Jose C. Romero and Benita Nieto had two children, Ruben and Irene. Rueben lives in Pennsylvania and has a huge family and Irene moved to California and passed away some time ago from complications due to lupis. She had four children, one passed away from kidney failure.
I know that after Jose and Benita divorced he moved to El Paso and eventually remarried I just do not know to who.
Would love to share what I know and get you in contact with Uncle Joe's brothers and sisters, they get together every Saturday for lunch. I know they would want to meet and/or correspond with you. I will ask my Uncle Ish more about Guadalupe and Teresa in Michoacan (if he will devulge that info). I also have pictures, including some of Uncle Joe in his younger years that I am sure you guys would like to have.
I hope you are still looking and get this post.
