New to the list... Looking for information on the following families or
individuals. Paz Macias, b. circa 1890's, married Amado Tamayo. Children: Maria
Consuelo Tamayo, b. 09 May 1917, Ixtlan, Mexico, d. 01 Jan 1999, St. Luke's
Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri...married in Kansas City, Missouri, United
States; Alfonso Tamayo, b. 1921, location? could have been either Mexico or
Kansas City, Missouri; Amado Tamayo, b. 1924..location unknown; Bertha Tamayo, b.
abt 1926.

Notes:
Amado Tamayo, Sr. retired from Union Pacfic Railroad.

M. Consuelo "Connie" Hernandez

M. Consuelo "Connie" Hernandez, 81, Kansas City, Missouri, passed away
January 1, 1999 at St. Luke's Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10
am, Tuesday, January 5, at Sacred Heart/Guadalupe Church; Burial in St. Mary's
Cemetery. Friends may call 6-8:30 pm , Monday January 4, at McGilley
Midtown Chapel, with a rosary at 7pm.

Mrs. Hernandez was born May 9, 1917 in Ixtlan, Mexico. She was preceded in
death by her husband of 51 years, Joseph Manuel Hernandez in 1995, and one
son Joseph Manuel Hernandez, Jr. in 1949. Survivors include three daughters,
Delores Wortheam, Soccorro Carmillo and Rita Marquez all of Kansas City, MO
one brother Alfonso Tamayo, Kansas City, MO; one sister Bertha Estrada, Kansas
City, MO six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

There are a couple of place names that include towns with the name Ixtlan,
one is Ixtlan del Rio in the state of Nayarit and the other is Ixtlan de los
Hervores in the state of Michoacan.

Looking for possible places to research via online or to write in
Mexico...Please keep in mind that I don't know any Spanish... This is my son-in-law's
family lines on his mother's side. I am lost when it comes to 98% of Mexico...
It has been 45 years since I took Latin American History.
