I read your message on ancestry.com

My name is J. Salvador. My biological father's name was Jesus Francisco Mungia. He was once in love with my mother. Her last name was Cortez. They were dating and were apparently planning to marry each other in the mid sixties. They attended St Mary's University in San Antonio together. I've never met him.

The story goes that she became pregnant by him. Under his urging she seriously considered abortion, but fear and her devotion to her faith kept her from going through with it. Apparently he was a momma's boy and influenced by his mother to stay away from my mother. My mother vowed she would personally never allow him to see me because of his suggestion of abortion, and his apparent lack of support during the pregnancy.

I've never met him or any person on my father's side of the family that I know of. I only learned he was my biological father when my mother remarried a few years back. My Pop revealed to me the "skeleton in the closet" promise he swore to my mother to keep; to spite her because she was re-marrying.

I've been searching for him and/or any family I have never known due to the circumstances involving his absence in my life. Nothing so far. So I'm trying to contact as many Mungia's as I can to hopefully find someone that knows something of my lineage, and heritage, and of course Jesus Francisco Mungia.
