I'm doing research for the Chilchota and Tlazazalca area and there are Madrigals going back to early 1600's in the records. One branch is Spaniards, another Mulato and another Indio, they are a part of the history of Michoacan. I'm researching the Gutierrez and Alvarez del Castillo from that area. My mother is Gutierrez from Valle de Canindo and Valle de Guadalupe in the late 1700's. If you go to familysearch.com and put in the country, state and surname it will give you lot's of informaton but it is usually more than 100 years ago. Living people are not in the records.
