I am also researching in Chilchota and Tlazazalca in the late 1600 and 1700 and found many Herrera and Alvares del Castillo families conected in both towns. I'm researching Gutierres/Gutierrez, Alvarez del Castillo, Valencia and all these lines married Herrera in the 1700's. My line of Gutierrez left Chilchota for Jalisco abt 1775 or so.
