I have just started the process of finding my ancestors, their last name was Escobar. I know that my Great Grandfather Vicente was born in the Village of LaPiedad, in Michoacan. Maybe there is someone out there that can help me find out if there is anyone out there related to us.

My grandmother was born Gavina Escobar Nov 19, 1905-July 26, 1985 . Her parents were Vicente Escobar Apr 4, 1881-Dec 22, 1965 and Trinidad Ventura May 30, 1884 - Nov 7, 1942. Vicente had a brother, Felix June 1, 1888-1966 and my mom thinks that they may have had another brother and his name may have been Carmen. Vicente's parents were Felix Escobar and Tabina Moreno, I don't have any information on them other than their names. I remember my grandmother saying something about there being a fire in their church and that some of the records were diestroyed.

Trinidad's parents were Francisco Ventura and Gregoria Peres and they were married 17 January 1888 Santiago Apostol, Numaron, Michoacan Mexico. I found out the infomation on Francisco and Gregorian by going to the following website: familysearch.org I simply typed in their names and I couldn't believe my eyes that their names were there.

Anyway, my grandparents are all deceased and there is nobody left except for my mom and she is 75. We live in Manhattan Kansas.
