Hi Vanita,
My family is from Michoacan Mexico, my ancestors were from El Guayabo and Santiago Tangamandapio, but we now reside in San Antonio Guaracha Michoacan.
My grandfather had several uncles that migrated to Tamaulipas and to Texas, in the Reynosa area in Mexico and in the Brownsville area on the US side.
There names were Jesus Vega, Jose Luis Vega, Refugio Vega, Arcadio Vega and two sisters Maria Vega and Josefa Vega. All with the exception of Josefa Vega lived in Michoacan, Tamaulipas, and Texas through the course of their lives. I believe Refugio ended up in Chicago.
But these Vegas were born around 1885-1900. So if anything they would be your grandparents in the event that we were to be related.
It is interesting to see that you are from Texas, I have family members in that area that I have never met.
Do you know what part of Mexico your father was from?
Do you know your grandfather's name?
Most of the Vega's that I have met are from Michoacan, so if your ancestors are from Michoacan chances are that you are kin to many of the people in these boards. We just have to figure out how.
Email me back when you get a chance.
Thank you,
Mario Vega
