Lorena me da mucho gusto to hear from you.
Listen chances are that your mother will not know my grandparents. My great grandfather was born in Tanga probably around 1885-1890. From a young age he lived in San Antonio, so although he was born in Tanga he grew up in San Antonio. But his parents were Antonio Vega, (might have been Jose Antonio Vega), and Jesus Collazo (might have been Maria de Jesus Collazo). So my grandfather Primitivo Vega was born in San Antonio but of course he had uncles and or cousins in El Guayabo and in Santiago as well as Chavinda and Zamora.
He always told us about his uncles and hermanos de su abuelo Antonio Vega. I think Antonio had a brother named Arcadio or Jose Arcadio Vega. But for sure one of Antonio's brothers lived in el Guayabo and his son's name was Eufemio Vega, because I know of a Carlos Vega hijo de Eufemio but I have never met him. We plan on going to Mexico in January at which time we would like to visit Tanga and get to know some Vega's and of course by then we will have birth records for our grandparents and be able to finally find our relatives from Tanga. I know you are one of them. There is only one branch of Vega's in el Guayabo and they are our cousins.
My Great Great Grandfather:
