Hello Dave and Lily,

I hope this can help.

I believe that the city you are looking for is actually spelled Numaran. Numaran is a city that is in the Municipio of La Piedad de Cavadas in west central Mexico state of Michoacan. This city is located in the northwestern part of Michoacan and is very near to the state of Guanajuato.

Numaran is sorrounded by the following cities and or towns.
To the East is the state of Guanajuato.
To the North is Ticuitaco.
To the South is El Triunfo.
To the west you will find Jauja and Taquiscuareo.
Maybe people from the following towns can help you in your research.

I did find a couple of Felix Godinez dating back to the 1820's which were baptized and married in Ixtlan a city northwest of Numeran.

One Felix Godinez was born in 1820.
There is also a Felix Godinez that married in Feb. 15, 1874 to a Guadalupe Collaso.
The other Felix Godinez married a Marta Gallegos on July 02, 1881.

All of the above were apparently born in or around Ixtlan.
