Hi Chiquita Soliz-

My name is Raul Cerda. I noticed that you have been involved in assisting others in searches regarding the Cerda's in Mexico. And, I was hoping you could do the same for me.

Our family still (partly) resides in San Juan Palmira, Michoacan to this day.

My father's name is Raul Cerda Flores. He was born in 1942. He and his three brothers, Jose, Salvador, Ricardo, and a sister, Consuelo (Pena) Cerda were born in San Juan Palmira. Their mother and father are Maria Flores and Jose Cerda Castillo respectively.

Maria Flores was born on or about 1915. Jose Cerda Castillo on or about 1909 (Their ages are listed as 27 and 33 yrs old at the time of my father’s birth). It is believed that they were born in San Juan Palmira, Mich.

Maria Flores was born to Vincente Flores and Josefa (spelling?) Mendoza. No date of births are known or sibling info. Josefa is believed to have lived in Margaritas Jalisco prior to San Juan Palmira.

Jose Cerda Castillo was born to Rafaela Castillo and Clemente Cerda. They too lived in San Juan Palmira. However, it is believed that Rafaela is originally from La Esperanza, Mich.

Jose Cerda Castillo sibling are Jesus, Augustine, Estelle, Delfina, Margarita, Estafanie, Guadalupe, and Maria Cerda.
