Hi Nicole,

I am a Serrato and my Serrato line came from Acuitzeramo Michoacan Mexico. You mentioined that you are from Visalia my Great Grandfather Jose Serrato left his family in Mexico (around 1900 give or take) wife Salome Serrato, and kids Refujio, Jose, Isaura, and Porfirio Serrato who was my Grandfather he died in 1977. The rumor is that my Grat Grandfather started another family in the Visalia area may be that's where you come from?.

It would be nice to find out, what ever happend to my Great Grandfather. Both of his sons Jose and Porfirio tried to find him they were told that he lived in the Vasalia or Stockton area in the 1930's but were unable to locate him, they thought that maybe he had changed his name.
