I am helping a friend who is trying to locate her grandfather's family in Zamora, Michoacan. Her grandfather is Jose Ramon Mendez. He was born in Zamora in 1902 i think in January. He moved to Detroit Michigan as a young man. Possibly his mother and little sister went with him. Do you know any Mendez families in Zamora? Do you have any suggestions how I might find a birth record or baptism record for Jose? Any help you can provide would be appreciated.
