Here's some additional info. regarding my last post:
My husband's grandfather, Jesus Cardenas Nunez, always referred to Pres. Lazaro Cardenas as his uncle. I had been told that Jesus's uncle was also his Godfather. And lastly, I had been told that Jesus's mom's name was Josefina, which is the name of one of Lazaro's sisters. Problem is, Lazaro is the oldest of his siblings, and he is only 10 years older than our Jesus. Upon further probing of my husband's cousins and aunts, I have found out the following info. Now, I have Josefa as Jesus's mother. With her brother Isadoro Cardenas as my Jesus's Uncle & Godfather. We believe that it is most likely that Jesus always referred to Lazaro as his uncle out of respect, because Lazaro, his cousin, was 10 yrs. older. I still have not figured out who the Heton Cardenas was that Jesus called his friend & cousin, either. So.... my question to all Cardenas family members & researchers is, did Pres. Lazaro Cardenas's father Francisco, have a sister named Josefa, and/or a brother named Isador!
