I read your message. My root are from mexico. I'm not sure where. My fathers Name is Antonio Cortez, still living. His fathers Name was Jose Cortez. I only know that my Father's(Antonio)mothers name was Guadalupe Lopez. They all grew up somewhere in mexico and later in Raymondville, Tx. Jose and Guadalupe had 2 daughters, Maria and Eusebia, and 2 sons, my father and another son that died just after he was born. I do remember that my grandmothers (Guadalupe's)parents were named Maria and Juan Lopez. That's all I can remember. I hope this helps.
