Surname: tapia
-------------------------
Hey Hugo, my paternal side is the Tapia family that descended from Isidro
Tapia Ponce from San Rafael, Michoacan. He had over 20 children. They were
mostly boys that had large families. I teach art at Earhart Middle School
in Detroit, Michigan. I have students that have come from San Ignacio,
Jalisco. They are Tapias also. Small world. Isidro Tapia was a cacique,
he spoke the Tarascan, or Purepecha dialect.
