Dear Stephanie: looking for my ancestry. I am researching my family's pedigree,
and am interested in what indian lineage and any other lineage that my
ancestors might have been besides Spaniard or French connections. My mother's
maiden name is Serrato. My Grandfather was Miguel Serrato who married my
grandmother, Salud Solorio who was born in Acuitzeramo, a village in Michoacan,
Mexico. We are related to Torres' as well on my grandmother's side. My
great, great grandfather was Julian Serrato who married Angelita Cortez
or (Cortes), they in turn had four sons and one daughter, Vicente, Octabiano,
Juan, Rafael and Maria Carmin. My great-grandfather was Vicente Serrato
who married Gertrudes (don't know her maiden name) who had four sons and
one daughter, Francisco, Jesus, Grigorio, Miguel and Maria. My grandfather
was Miguel Serrato who married Salud Solorio and they had two sons and
three daughters, Salvador, Natividad, Aurelia, Sara and Soledad. It seems
our families lived in the general vicinities and there just might be a
connection here. Take care and looking forward to hear from you. Andrea
