I have McMillan and associated family baptisms and
marriages from Killean/Kilchenzie parish in Argyll,
Scotland up on my website at

I descend from John McMillan, a shepherd, and wife
Flora McCallum through son Malcom born about 1774.
Malcolm married Mary McStockair/Stalker and had
14 children, all surviving to adulthood and all listed
as still living on Malcolm's 1855 death certificate.

12) Mysie McMillan b. 7 May 1826, m. 16 Apr 1850 John CLARK
13) Malcolm McMillan b. 30 Nov 1828 Achaloskin, Killean
14) Charles McMillan b. 29 Jun 1833 Taybraun, Killean

Charles McMillan, b. 1833, married Betsey Morrison of
Greenock in 1863, both residing in Tighnabruaich at the
time. Their children were:
1) Jessie, m. Rev. James McDonald, moved to Trinidad
2) Mary b. 25 Oct 1864 Kilfinan, Argyll
3) George, m. _____? , moved to Argentina
4) John b. 31 Dec 1867 Tarbert, Argyll
5) Malcolm b. 29 Sep 1870 Kilmory, Bute, m. Emma Jane Strugnell
6) Betsey b. 15 Aug 1873 Kilmory, Bute
7) James b. 1876 Twomory?, m. Molly ____?, wife and children killed
in 1917 Halifax Explosion.

Charles and Betsey (Morrison) McMillan lived in Killean,
Kilmory, Twomory, Glendaruel, Kilmodan, Tighnabruaich,
Tarbert and Kilfinan (not in order) before emigrating to
Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada in 1891.
