Quite right, Brian. I was sloppily translating "patriotic" (OTEChESTVENNIi)
and (OTEChESTVO) "fatherland" which have roots in OTETs - father. No
excuse. I shall stand in a corner with my dunce cap firmly affixed.
Neither way, however, does the medal mention Arctic Convoys.
