Hi everyone
I'm new to the list. I'm trying to trace an ancestor who was a ship;s master in the early 1700's. I suspect he was born in the East Riding of Yorkshire in about 1699 - are there any records of apprenticeships served, or others connected to his work that are accessible? He could have been from around Hull.
