Hi Kathy!

I have some McLean family from the same area but don't see an immediate
connection - I'll give you my info and maybe you'll see something I don't
see.

Starting w/ my husband - Robert McLean b. 1948 Toronto Canada
His Dad- George Alexander McLean b. 1920 Toronto Canada
His Father - Alexander McLean b. 1892 Camrie Farm, Wigtownshire - he
married Barbara Jane McQueen of Newton-Stewart in 1918 and they immigrated
to Toronto

His father was James McLean - b. 1862 he died and is buried in Creetown (not
far from Newton-Stewart) in 1920? He was married to Agnes Lauchlin. They had
about 10 children including Alexander, Sarah, Jesse, David (who we were told
immigrated to Australia but no proof) Elizabeth, and several more.

His father was William McLean b. 1837 at Stoneykirk and married Charlotte
Wilson - they had about 8 children (the names are at home and I'm at work
right now)

His father was Jacob McLean b. 1813 Londonderry, Ireland and married
Elizabeth Thomson in 1837 - they had several children including a James -
who may be the common tie but of course I'm not sure.

If you want the other siblings names let me know. Have you checked the
census for the area? I would suggest you get on the rootsweb forum for
Dumfries-Galloway - that's where I've gotten all my information. If you want
more info let me know.

Regards
Barbara
