I’ve always wondered if Ann Doane wife of William 1st Twining was the
sister to Deacon John Doane? We are from one of the daughters of William
1st and Ann/ Isabel married Francis Baker/ their son John Baker married
Alice Pierce/ their daughter Elizabeth marries John Nickerson.
We are also from Josiah Cooke and Elizabeth Ring through their son Josiah
who married Deborah Hopkins/ daughter of Giles Hopkins and Catherine Whelden
Add to the mix we are also from Giles sister Constance Hopkins who married
Nicholas Snow. Lines from the cape area can get very confusing for the 1st
100 years or so.
