FRANK D. LYONS

Frank D. Lyons was born in Rockbridge, Wisconsin, April 3, 1884, and passed away at his home southwest of Beagle Friday, March 9, at the age of 71 years, 11 months and 6 days.

He spent most of his life in and around this community.

He leaves his wife, Susie, and eight children: Patsy, Barbara, Charles, Wilma, Mary, Dorothy, Frankie and Jackie, all of the home, one son, Emmett, of Beatrice, Neb., two sisters, Minnie Lyons of Osawatomie and Mrs. Mary Stearns of Lane, one brother, Melvin Lyons of Beagle, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held in the Beagle Methodist church Monday, March 12, Dr. C.J. Sullins, officiating. Mrs. Jean Nichols and Mrs. June Cook accompanied by Mrs. Odessa Edwards sang “In the Garden” and “Ivory Palaces.” The pallbearers were Floyd Debrick, Ernest Cook, Jesse Ellis, Gus Loch, Walter Bratton and Fred Jones.

Interment was in the Mound Creek cemetery under the direction of Birchard Funeral home.
