The only record of William I am sure of is his death entered in son James
bible. it was 1828 in Lauderdale Co. AL. James and brother Robert Steele Lyon
both married in Tuscaloosa Co. AL and both went to MS. Robert Steele Lyon was
in Oktibbeha Co. MS census in 1840 and died there in 1846.
There is a marriage record in Sumner Co. TN for a William Lyon and Rebecca
Steele with Robert Steele as security 1806.
Robert Lyons children later said on 1880 census their father was born in KY
and mother in TN.
Does anyone know if these two records of William Lyons are of the same person?
