Thanks for the info. I'm very much aware of Peter Lurvey's contribution and sacrifice in the earliest time of the Revolution. I'm in posession of what is left of his land in Dogtown. There used to be a small group of folks that started a re-enactment sort of organization to commemorate the Daniel Warner Co., which was the Gloucester contingent that served in the Revolution. For a few years a while back they would re-enact the battle with the Falcon, on the Gloucester waterfront. I know a couple of them- might be good to revive it.
fyi- There's a fabulous book written by a Gloucester historian,Joe Garland, who sadly passed away this past fall, called The Fish and the Falcon. A must read for the Lurvey descendents.
