Thank you for your reply. I haven't been able to locate much else on him since posting my first query. I do know that my Luke relations were from Germany. I guess quite a few of them are from Scotland, but they are of no direct relation. It was believed that the original name used in Germany was Schluter (I may have the spelling wrong), but that Luke was a nickname that sorta stuck. My mother has some letters that were written in old German. I took them into my German instructor in high school years and years ago, but she wasn't able to translate them fully. So, the hunt for the Frank Luke connection continues:-)
