My husbands ancestors came from the Haute Pryenees area in france We
think about 1830's .We would also know how to research shipping records.
We know they came in through New York. His grandmother and grandfather
were Louis Fontan and Marie Bartet Fontan. We are looking for the names
of Fontan and Bartet. Would also like to know how to find the birth
records and marriage records
