I am looking for some information on John, Joseph and Mary CARTER. Mary was
probably born in the early to mid-1850's. As Mary J. BLACKBURN, she drafted a
will while living in the vicinity of Richmond (I am still looking for a filed
copy) which mentions her brothers Joseph and John CARTER in Halifax Co., VA.
I believe she was a sister to James Thomas CARTER, Jr. but can't verify that
quite yet to my satisfaction. She had a niece Lucy Carter who I suspect to
have been my ggmother, Lucy CARTER LOFTIS. Has anyone information that might
be helpful?
