Good afternoon. I have Lo(a)der in my family background. All from the Dorset area. Very little concrete information to go on, unfortunately but definitely there are
Lo(a)ders in my tree. As follows-
Thomas LOADER married Hannah BRICKLE Feb. 25 1711 or 1712 in Fisherton Anger in Wiltshire;
their son John LOADER born January 21, 1726 or 27 in Stratford St. Toyne, Wiltshire; he married Mary POPE February 3, 1747 or 48 in Wimborne Dorset;
their son Johnathan LOADER born c November 10, 1751 in Pentridge Dorset married Mary TRIM (born c July 20, 1751) on October 12, 1771 in Horton;
their children Elizabeth LOADER (born c June 22, 1777), Ann LOADER, and Thomas LOADER (born c January 26, 1783)
Elizabeth LOADER had three sons that I know of Moses born c December 14, 1800; Aaron born c September 2, 1804 and George born c July 1, 1810 - apparently all three boys were
"illegitimate" (I hate that term) as no fathers are listed and their last name remained LOADER.
Her son MOSES LOADER married Jemimah Clench January 31, 1823. Their son Joseph LOADER( born c 1829) married Fanny HOLLY (born c 1833). Their daughter Mary Ann Loder (that's
how it was spelled by then it appears) born c 1853 married Edmund CHAPPELL (my 2 x great grandparents). Their son Albert Francis Chapple (again the spelling keeps changing)
married Gertrude Frances JOY - (my great grandparents); they then emigrated here to Canada where my grandfather was then born - then of course my dad, then me and my sisters.

So - there's my LOADER/LODER connection.
Hope it's of some help - I will be curious to see if perhaps we're distant cousins.
