Hi

In the hope that this list accept the various spellings of this surname. I am sending in the details of my LODDER study. If this is not acceptable then please let me know. However I do hope that queries on my family ancestors will not be beyond the experts here.

I have a fair amount of data on the LODDER family but
my research had got into a bit of a rut lately and I'm hoping list members
might be able breath fresh life into my work. I am more than happy to
exchange data with anyone who has further information on this very
interesting dynasty.
A brief outline of my study consists of the following family LODDER summary
My LODDER family have been located in the Dorset, Wiltshire, Hampshire and
London regions of England
They begin with John LODDER born in Tarrant Rushton, DORSET ( around 1740 ).
He married Mary ? Unfortunately her maiden name is unknown
At present I cannot go back further than this but would dearly love to
John & Nary had 5 children. Oliver their eldest was born in
1766,Witchampton, DORSET. He later married Ann RIDDLE they had several
children and moved to the Wimbourne area of Dorset.
During the 19th Century there were several branches of the family dwelling
in these parts. I have a fair amount of data on the LODDER family from these
places but would welcome extra information.
Although most of the LODDER family may have stayed in this area my branch
seem to have moved to the Hampreston & Basingstoke regions of Hampshire.
Later they moved to the Portsea and Lymington areas of the county.
I need to fill out the families of these LODDERS and would welcome any news
on them.
