I use MSN premium as my e-mail program. I would like to know what I should
be expecting to see when I open my mail as there is no consistency in the
lists.
When opening them I receive three different results, please note:
Cook-co-il digest opens with a listing of the messages by number and subject
in the preview pane;
Aberdeen digest opens with the messages and subjects flashing in the preview
pane and then requires me to click on the Attachment to read the messages;
Genbrit-D opens and requires me to click on the Attachments to read the
subjects.
Could someone please advise me if this is normal or what normal is?

Hi, Jim-
This sounds as if the admin of the Aberdeen list has gone against what
admins were told about not changing the digest format for the entire lists. The
list default SHOULD be for plain text digests like the ones you are receiving
for the COOK-CO-IL list.
You need to drop a note to and let the admin
know he should change the digest format back to the plain text setting. If he
won't do it for the list as a whole--at least tell him YOU want the plain text
digests. That is, I'm assuming this is how you want to receive the
digests--if not then ask the Cook County admin to change you to MIME format instead.
As for GENBRIT, it is newsgroup gateway list and they have not yet migrated
to the new system--so nothing can be done about that one until the list moves.
