I note there's been no response to your messages for 2 days.

I think perhaps there is some confusion as to why one would
subscribe to this list and why you are receiving all the messages.

It is not required or necessary to be subscribed to the List Update
list. All the lists you are subscribed to for your genealogica research
at Rootsweb.com will be migrated to the new software according
to the schedule that was set and is modified as the migration continues.

You need do NOTHING to continue receiving your genealogcal mail.
It will automatically come to you, even when Rootsweb changes the
software for the lists you subscribe to.

If you subscribed to this list because you thought you had to in order
to continue receiving your genealogical mail, you may safely unsubscribe.

The purpose of this list, per our List Admin, Melissa, is to provide peer to
peer support and have any questions about how the mailman software
works, for the users (subscribers) of Rootsweb's lists.

There have been some other elements aside from the loading of the new
software that have affected user experience.... AOL blocked mail, others
experienced delays in delivery. Not all are related to the new software
Rootsweb is using.

However, this list has had many posts by users and admins alike, since the
migration. And as a subscriber to the list, you receive copies of all
the messages posted. Whether or not they are of interest or have any
bearing at all on your personal experience.

You may unsubscribe from this list. And should you have a question
when one of the genealogical lists you subscribe to migrates to the
new software, you can subscribe again to ask any questions you may
have. No sense being buried in mail that you don't need or want.
