This is for mailing lists on Rootsweb. You would have to check on
Ancestry and see if they are doing anything, but this list and talk
about mailing lists pertains to Rootsweb only.

You need to do nothing about the prepends etc. unless when the list gets
moved over the list administrator does not make the prepend or list name
the same as it was before. You will still hit reply, and depending on
how the list administrator has it set-up it will either go to the whole
list, like this one does right now, or it will go to the individual ONLY
that sent the message. As the -L or -D will probably be dropped you will
have to adjust your address books and sort filters.

If any of the above is wrong, as it's just coming from someone speaking
as a user, someone else will correct me. Also that's exactly what's
wrong with this list and the whole changeover process. In MY opinion
this list should should have been set up as a MODERATED list and
messages should only have been made public once vetted by an
Administrative team who knows the right answers and will post them at
the same time the message is made public. Wonder why no one has
suggested that before? It would remove all the chaff and misinformation
but give more work to a team of responsible knowledgeable people.
