It's a wonderful idea for ALL lists, Joan.

Is the present day message board gateway one way, i.e. board to
mailing list? Could it be made bi-directional? Wouldn't that make the
message list archives superfluous? Users could contribute by email, as
in mailing lists, or by posting on a message board. All messages would
be collected on the message board.
