Here is what I have gathered to date on my LEVERICH family that married into
the WAYs of Newtown, NY. My ancestress is Hannah LEVERICH (#12), and the line
continues with her son John WAY (#22).
Can anybody add to these ancestors (names, details, etc) or recommend valuable
sources to check? I would appreciate any comments, additions or corrections.

FIRST GENERATION
1. Saville LEVERICH resided in Drawlington, Warwickshire, England.1
Saville LEVERICH had the following children:
+2i.William LEVERICH.
SECOND GENERATION
2. William LEVERICH2,3 was born about 1603 in prob. England.4 He emigrated
in 1633 from Great Livermere, Suffolk, England.5,6 Rev. William Leverich left
England to pursue a ministry at Dover in New Hampshire. He embarked on the
"James" at London and after an 8 week trip, landed at Salem on 10 Oct 1633.
He proceeded to Dover, where he stayed less than two years, when he went to
Boston. There, he united with the church on 9 Aug 1635. After a short stay,
he became the assistant of Rev. Mr. Patridge at Duxbury, where in 1637,
William was assigned a home lot. In 1638, he was found in Sandwich on Cape
Cod, where in 1640, he was in office. He stayed at Sandwich many years. In
1653, he became a purchaser and settler at Oyster Bay, Long Island, where the
people gave him 15 pounds a year to be their minister. He was admitted as a
Freeman on 2 Jan 1637/38 in Plymouth Colony.7 He died before 19 Jun 1677 in
Newtown, Long Island, Queens Co., NY.8,9 Letters of administration for the
estate of William Leverich were granted to his son, Caleb, on 19 Jun 1677. He
was a minister.10 William imparted the word of the Lord upon the Indians and
was a contemporary to Apostle Eliot. William was admitted sizar at Emanuel
College in Cambridge, England, on 28 Mar 1622. He received his B.A. degree in
1625/6 and M.A. degree in 1631. He was ordained deacon at Peterborogh 24 Dec
1626, priest 1627; vicar of Great Livermere, Suffolk, England.
William LEVERICH had the following children:

THIRD GENERATION
3. Eleazer LEVERICH was born about 1640.11
He was married to Rebecca WRIGHT (daughter of Nicholas WRIGHT) about
1662.12,13,14 He filed for divorce on 6 May 1670.15 He was divorced from
Rebecca WRIGHT on 22 Oct 1670.16 Divorce was granted based on Eleazor's
impotence.
4. Caleb LEVERICH was born in 1638.17 He died in 1717.18
He was married to Martha NLN (SWAIN) (LEVERICH) about 1669.19,20 Caleb
LEVERICH and Martha NLN (SWAIN) (LEVERICH) had the following children:

+7iii.Eleanor LEVERICH.
FOURTH GENERATION
5. John LEVERICH died about 1705.21
John LEVERICH and Hannah NLN (LEVERICH) had the following children:

FIFTH GENERATION
8. William LEVERICH died on 25 Mar 1754.24 He was a carpenter.25
He was married to Martha WAY (daughter of James WAY Jr.) on 23 Jul 1722.26
10. Benjamin LEVERICH died about 1732 in Newtown, Long Island, Queens Co.,
NY.27
He was married to Mary NLN (LEVERICH).28
11. Martha LEVERICH.
She was married to John WAY (son of Francis WAY and Elizabeth NLN (WAY)).29,30
John WAY was born about 1695/96.31,32 He died on 13 Oct 1750 in Hellgate,
NY.33,34 Martha LEVERICH and John WAY had the following children:

12. Hannah LEVERICH died on 10 Nov 1729 in Newtown, Long Island, Queens Co.,
NY.35,31
She was married to James WAY (son of Francis WAY and Elizabeth NLN (WAY)) in
May 1716 in Newtown, Long Island, Queens Co., NY.36,31,37 This was the first
marriage for James. James WAY38 was born about 1694 in Newtown, Long Island,
Queens Co., NY.31 He died on 8 Jan 1767 in Newtown, Long Island, Queens Co.,
NY.39,31,40 He resided in Newtown, Long Island, Queens Co., NY.31 James
became blind. Hannah LEVERICH and James WAY had the following children:
18i.Elizabeth WAY was born on 16 Feb 1717.41,31
