Those researching George, son of Johan Peter Lenhart, may find new information in the below email.
It would be interesting to hear your responses to his comment that he thinks George went straight to Somerset Co., PA, from Dover (and not to other places in between as reported by Keith Dull).
Also, what about his comment that "So far I've found no supporting evidence that Georg had military service in the PA Archives."?
Has anyone found support evidence?

***I'm forwarding (with permission) the below email [minor edits]. Glen, who sent the email, is "a descendant from Anna Margaret Lenhard (ca. 1732-1810) and Ludwig Friedline (ca. 1735-1784) through their son Ludwig (1756-1810) . . . . trying to establish that Anna who m. Ludwig was in fact Anna M. Lenhard. . . . pretty sure of it, but can't prove it right now, so consequently I'm working on the siblings looking for clues."
***Note to "newbies" - it is believed (but not proved) that the Anna who married Ludwig Friedline was a daughter of Johan Peter Lenhart (JPL) 1708-1774 born Germany, to America in 1748, of Philadelphia/Berks and York counties, PA.

Hi Georgia,
I'm not sure if we've corresponded before or not, but I've followed your web-pages for literally years.
A minor update on Georg Lenard.
Keith Dull has Georg making a couple moves before settling in Somerset Co, PA (from notes in one of your pages). I think Georg went from Dover Twp, straight to Somerset Co, PA, rather than lugging his family to a different location every couple years. I'm also pretty sure Ludwig Friedline and his family made the same move about the same time. My notes are not polished and poorly cited, but some supporting evidence;
-----------
PA Archives, 3rd Ser., Vol.22, p166., "Return of Property of the County of Bedford for the year 1779",
Turkeyfoot Twp: George Lanhart; 400 acres. The only Lanhart or variation mentioned in Turkeyfoot. (also listed is Lodowic Fridline).
-----------
<http://www.pa-roots.com/users/bedford/taxlists/tl1785milford.htm>
1785 Milford Township Tax List
George Barnhart, 400 acres
[comment, I've looked at this numerous times on list, and now think it is probably a bad transcription]
------------
Dull, Keith. "The Early Families of Somerset and Fayette Co., PA." : Johan Georg... moved to Somerset Co, PA and settled in Milford Creek Twp and in 1784 he purchased 390 acres on Coxes and Middle Creek.
Comment, I've not review the deeds, but I have seen many cases were land was settled (frequently surveyed), and the deed filed 10 years later - if at all.
-----------
1790, census PA, Bedford Co, Milford Twp, p253
Linard, George; 2m 16+, 1m under 16, 7f. [also listed on the same page are the families of Ludiwick, Peter and George Fredline, sons of his sister Anna Margaret]
--------------
So far I've found no supporting evidence that Georg had military service in the PA Archives.
Regards, Glen
