Thank you for this posting about descendants of George LeFevre of Newville,
PA (b. 1739).

My connection with George is through his son Lawrence, b. 1764, (#9-015 in
the Pennsylvania Le Fevre book) who I presume moved with the family to
Newville with George in 1785, and Lawrence's youngest son Joseph Ritner LeFevre, b.
1810 (# 10-046). Joseph married Elizabeth Snyder in 1830. They settled in
Indiana sometime after 1840. Their eldest daughter, Mary Margaret LeFevre, who
married John D. Cartwright, was my great-grandmother.

One of Lawrence's older sons, Jacob LeFevre (1795) started a newspaper in
Gettysburg, and I have some of his letters to Joseph in the mid-1800's.
Anyone with connections to Lawrence or Joseph Ritner LeFevre, please contact
me with more information about them or about Newville PA in the period
1780-1830.
