I am searching for information on William Layton of Ross County, Ohio. There are three marriages listed for him. I know there is a William Layton who married Mary Ann Armstrong on 8 MAY 1814 in Ross. There is also a William Layton who married Margaret McKim on 1 FEB 1816 in Ross County. I am not sure if he is the same one. There is also a William Layton who married Jane Kendrick in Pickaway County on 20 MAR 1828. Again I don't know if it is the same one.

I believe William Layton is probably related to David Layton of Deleware who lived in Franklin County, Ohio although I haven't found the link. One of David Laytons sons was the executor of my great great great grandmothers estate.

I believe William Layton to be a likely candidate to be the father of my great-great-great grandmother who was born in 1835. Her name was Louisa Layton. She appears to have been orphaned at a young age and raised by aunts and uncles. She named one of her sons William Layton

Any clues would be greatly appreciated
