LAROCQUE, Laurent (Bud) - Passed away, suddenly, at his home in New
Liskeard, on February 23, 2003, at the age of 75. Beloved husband of 48
years of Angèla Paiement; father of Louise (André Denis) of New Liskeard and
of Richard of Sudbury; loving grandfather of Suzanne and Andréanne Denis of
New Liskeard. Brother of Hermes (Lucie), Lorraine Bentley (Gerry), Julien
(Pauline) of North Bay, Jocelyne Bergeron, and Michel (Yolande) of Ottawa.
He was a devoted employee of Canada Packers Inc. for 38 years. Funeral
service and burial took place in New Liskeard. LAROCQUE, Laurent (Bud) -
Décédé subitement chez lui à New Liskeard, le 23 février, 2003, à l'âge de
75 ans. Epoux bien-aimé pendant 48 ans d'Angèle Paiement, père de Louise
(André Denis) de New Liskeard et de Richard de Sudbury. Fier grand-père de
Suzanne et Andréanne Denis de New Liskeard. Frère de Hermès (Lucie),
Lorraine Bentley (Gerry), Julien (Pauline) de North Bay, Jocelyne Bergeron
et Michel (Yolande) d'Ottawa. Laurent fut un employé bien apprécié de Canada
Packers Inc. pendant 38 ans. Les funérailles et enterrement ont eu lieu à
New Liskeard.

BACKER, Rhea (nee Larocque) - of Mattawa passed away at the Mattawa General
Hospital on Saturday July 20th, 2002 in her 73rd year. She is survived by
her adult children; Barry (Ginette) of North Bay, Wayne (Diane) of Calgary,
Nancy Laframboise (Reg) of Mattawa, Lynn Seguin (Jean-Guy) of Mattawa and
Laurie Nagel (Dale) of Red Deer. Also survived by her six grandchildren.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Douglas Backer (1984) and her brothers
Roger and Teddy. A Memorial Mass will be conducted at St. Anne's Church,
Mattawa, today, Monday July 22nd, 2002 at 11 a.m. Donations to the Mattawa
General Hospital would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy and may be
left with the T.L. Smith Funeral Home, Mattawa.

TURGEON, Alida (Larocque) - Passed away peacefully at the Villa St. Martin,
Malartic, Quebec April 8, 2002 at the age of 92 years. Alida Larocque was
born in Haileybury and was the wife of Leo Turgeon (deceased) of North Bay.
Left to mourn are her children Paul (Fernande Trepanier) of Val d'Or,
Quebec; Pierrette (Leonard Gendron) of Laval, Quebec; Denise (Jean-Guy
Blouin) of St. Augustin, Quebec,Jean (Danielle Boutin) of Malartic, Quebec,
André (Muguette Massicotte) of Toronto; 13 grandchildren and five
great-grandchildren; two brothers-in-law Hector Turgeon of Sturgeon Falls,
Eugene Turgeon (Claudette) of Cochrane and five sisters-in-law Adrienne
Corbeil, Val d'Or, Quebec; Clemmie Blyth, North Bay; Edelta Turgeon,
Sudbury; Joyce Turgeon, Toronto; Claudette Turgeon, Cochrane; many nieces,
nephews, relatives and friends. Funeral Mass was held on Friday, April 12,
2002 at St. Martin de Tours Church in Malartic, Quebec followed by burial at
the Malartic Quebec Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were under the direction
of the Blais Funeral Home of Malartic, Quebec.

Mary Larocque (nee Rota) Funeral mass for the late Mary Larocque was
celebrated by Reverend Trevor Scarfone, also present in the sanctuary was
Reverend Mr. Roger Goode, Reverend Mr. Don Milligan and Reverend Mr. Kenneth
Parker. Mary Larocque passed away peacefully at Cassellholme Home for the
Aged, Thursday, November 8, 2001. Mary Larocque, beloved wife of Fred
Larocque for 52 years, at the age of 83. Predeceased by her parents Theresa
and Michael Rota, one sister Rose Piscitelli and brothers John, Rocco,
James, Pat and Sam Rota. She was the cherished aunt of many nieces and
nephews. great-nieces and great-nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
An Honour Guard was formed by members of the C.W.L., Kay Annett, Clemmie
Blyth, Liz Collins, Hazel Currie, Kay Shaw and Mafalda Valenti. Pallbearers
were members of the Knights of Columbus, Allen Shaw, Gord Edward, Ed Taylor,
Bob Frechette, William Rota and Elfio Cappadocia. Funeral arrangements were
under the direction of the McGuinty Funeral Home.

Thursday, November 8, 2001. Mary Larocque, beloved wife of Fred Larocque for
52 years, at the age of 83. Predeceased by her parents Theresa and Michael
Rota, one sister Rose Pischetelli and brothers, John, Sam and Pat Rota. She
was the cherished aunt of many nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and nephews
and great grand-nieces and nephews. Family receiving friends at the McGuinty
Funeral Home today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Name of Jesus Church Monday at 11
a.m. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery. Donations to Alzheimer Society would be
gratefully acknowledged by the family.
